The contact form
Our Contact page asks for your name, your email, a phone number if you’d like a call, what we can help with, and a few words about your situation. Press Send and the site stores all of it in its own database on Cloudflare, together with the page you were on and the country your connection is in. It then emails the same details to Natalia at [email protected], sent through Cloudflare’s email service from the site’s own address, so she can reply to you directly.
Before a message goes, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person rather than a spam program is sending it. It reads signals from your browser to decide, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
A message reaches her as ordinary email. Please keep Social Security numbers, account numbers and tax documents out of it.
Our own record of visits
Each time a page loads, the site notes it on Cloudflare’s servers before anything runs in your browser:
- which page it was, and the website, search or ad that brought you, when there was one;
- whether you’re on a phone, tablet or computer, and which browser;
- roughly where your connection is and whose network it’s on (town, state, internet provider), as Cloudflare works that out.
Your IP address isn’t kept, and nothing in the record names you. The site also notes when someone taps the phone number or the email address, sends the form, or keeps a page open, and for how many seconds. That’s how we tell which pages lead people to get in touch.
Visits from outside the United States are turned away, and the country Cloudflare reports for your connection is what decides it.
Cookies
The site sets a single cookie of its own, ts_src, on your first page. It remembers how the visit began (the site or ad that sent you, the page you landed on, the kind of device, the time), so a call or a message can be traced back to it. There’s no identifier in it, and your browser drops it when you close it.
Google Analytics adds two, _ga and _ga_B0YRWBM8M1.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics gives us a second count of visits, next to our own. It starts a few seconds after a page opens, or at your first tap or scroll, and tells Google which pages you view and how you got here. Google keeps that data under its own privacy policy. You can stop it with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.
Who else is involved
Cloudflare hosts the site, its database and the form’s email, and like any host it sees your IP address when it sends you a page. The fonts and pictures are served from this site itself, not from another company.
